Hey there, remixer. YES, YOU!

I suppose you’ve been sitting there at your computer refreshing Facebook for the past three hours. Stop that right now, slacker! There are more creative ways of wasting time than pretending to put in face time with your fake tribe on facebook. Create a remix!

Get some cool archive footage to start with, add some clips from Open Source Cinema to the mix and trawl through the Wikimedia Commons for good measure. Or the easiest option of them all: download one of our five excellent zip packages - we’ve done all the hard work!

You’ll probably need some music, so check out the sound pool for some new sounds or back to archive.org or wikimedia for their audio stockpiles.

Now make all your video files the same using this handy video converter for Mac AND Windows, MPEG streamclip, and make sure they open in your editing program. Chuck them all into your video software of choice (make sure you’ve got the latest versions of Windows Moviemaker or iMovie, children) and start remixing!!
